Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
· Assist Head,Strategic Planning to develop strategic plans and roadmaps for organic and inorganic growth across MediaCorp’s businesses
· Identify, research and recommend new directions and opportunities for growth
· Work with business units and external advisors and consultants to evaluate and conduct complex financial and risk analysis of business opportunities
· Provide effective organization, management and completion of due diligence projects; Where necessary, liaise with investment bankers, brokers and consultants for acquisition opportunities
· Keep in step and even ahead of developments, emerging technologies, trends, competitive environment and regulatory changes of the media industry
· Guide and review business planning and optimization of resources across the business units.
Requirements
· Business/ Financial Management/ Accounting Degree from a good University ; MBA and/or CPA qualification is a plus
· Minimum 8 years of business/commercial experience of which some years are in finance-related valuation and at least 3 years of hands-on regional business development, Mergers & Acquisitions and/or strategic planning experience. Familiarity of the media industry is an added advantage.
· Possesses good knowledge of business and social culture of Asian markets. Strong track record of leading projects and business initiatives. Proven ability of mobilizing resources and support across a corporate environment with multiple business units.
· Entrepreneurial with strong business acumen and proven project management expertise
· Effective and efficient problem solving and analytical skills with attention to details
· Strong commercial and financial knowledge
· Self-driven, fast-paced, independent and possess maturity, high integrity, energy and team spirit
· Effective presentation skills and able to conduct market, industry and company research
· Capable of meeting the time demands of unpredictable peaks of M&A activities
· Possess strong interpersonal skills with good command of English and preferably another Asian language
· Ability to develop financial models and perform evaluation of target companies is a plus
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, any field.
- At least 10 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably Senior Managers specializing in Corporate Strategy/Top Management, Finance - Corporate Finance/Investment/Merchant Banking or equivalent.
