Our client is a listed Hong Kong conglomerate with core businesses in property development, property investment, energy, transportation, hospitality and finance.  Since inception they have been responsible for some of the most prolific and award-winning high quality new homes and commercial developments, ranging from city landmarks to exceptional residential properties across the Asia region and beyond.  Due to winning some significant new parcels of land, they require experienced Project Managers to help deliver a new standard of luxury development across China.  You will:

 

 

 

  • Plan, monitor and control various aspects and phases of the project from inception through to completion, taking full responsibility for the delivery on time and within budget.
  •  

  • Track, development and report the ongoing progress and ensure quality and safety standards are exceeded.
  •  

  • Build strong relationships with all contractors, consultants & external vendors, continually driving to provide commercial and innovative methods of operation across a wide range of projects (both financially and vocationally)
  •  

  • Develop and maintain a broad range of performance criteria and control mechanisms to ensure compliance with all appropriate regulations and to allow for internal and external benchmarking and performance measurement
  •  


    Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, you will have a minimum of 5-10 years design and construction experience, preferably within another developer.  You will;

     


    • Have proven high level of technical and professional expertise ensuring ability to challenge with credibility the professionals within the internal team together with external vendors, consultants and other service providers

    • Be proactive and innovative, displaying the drive and energy required to meet the continuous challenges this role will present, whilst maintaining a pragmatic approach and a positive attitude

    • Be a decision-maker, highly motivated with strong business acumen and possessing first class communication, presentation skills and strategic planning skills with strong emphasis on managing by objectives and performance measurement

    • Demonstrate excellent inter-personal, people management and business skills, together with a strong desire to lead by example and a firm belief in the power of teamwork

    • Have a strong client service and relationship management outlook, with the ability to challenge and influence senior business leaders whilst being co-operative and collaborative in style

    • Be an experienced commercial manager, used to managing multiple vendors and ensuring exceptional service delivery in a demanding commercial framework

    • Geographical flexibility regarding both travel and potential relocation is an advantage
